Meet Dr. Joseph Russo
Dr. Joseph Russo is a board-certified radiologist fellowship-trained in Breast Imaging. He joined St. Luke’s University Health Network in 2004, where he proudly served as Section Chief for Mammography from 2005 to 2020.
Throughout his tenure, Dr. Russo’s focus remained steadfast: ensuring convenient access to annual screening mammograms and providing compassionate, high-quality care for patients navigating the stress of callbacks or biopsies.
At St. Luke’s, a designated GE Healthcare National Show Site, Dr. Russo gained extensive experience in advanced imaging technologies, including 3D and contrast-enhanced mammography, automated breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and a wide range of biopsy techniques.
His special interests include the development of breast centers and the creation of personalized screening algorithms based on individual risk and breast density.
